Marquetta Brown, a native of San Diego, a veteran English Language Arts teacher, with more than 15 years in education. Marquetta currently works for the Chula Vista Elementary School District(CVESD). She is the current Secretary of the Camarena Elementary PTA, the Camarena Elementary Budget Advisory Committee Representative, CVESD Black Learners Advisory Committee (B-LAC) a committee member of the Chula Vista Elementary Council of PTAs, as well as a founding member of the CVESD Legislation Advocacy Board.
Marquetta’s passion is rooted in education and particularly in children that are most vulnerable.
Marquetta is a RISE San Diego 2021-2022 Fellow, a County of San Diego Juvenile Justice Commissioner, a 2021 Graduate and Member of Black Women Institute for Leadership Development (BWILD).
